I'm studying a Masters in Folklore Studies at Uni of Hertfordshire and my dissertation topic is storytelling in English pubs. Would you be interested in taking part in my survey?

My aim is to research the cultural phenomenon of English pubs and the unique social environment that they foster, to determine how their oral histories are disseminated. For instance, can you think of a pub where a regular or landlord/landlady is considered legendary? Are there stories about them which have been told and retold through the years? Is there a particular pub you know of that has witnessed events too wild to be true?
