    Friday 26th from 17.00 hrs. to 23.00 hrs. On Saturday 27th from 15.00 hrs. to 23.00 hrs. & Sunday 28th September 2025 from 12.00 hrs. to 16.00 hrs.

    Since 1st August 2024, The Wyvern has been operating as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). While we previously ran as a private members’ club, our focus is now on serving the entire local community rather than a membership-based model.

    Bus service 99 from Taunton Town Centre to Mountfields Road on Friday opening only 17.15 hrs., Saturday 15.00 hrs. & 17.15 hrs. There is a return on Saturday at 16.36 hrs., journey time is only 8 minutes.

    From Chard Boden Street service 99 Friday 16.00 hrs., Saturday 13.50 hrs. and 16.00 hrs. Journey time 45 minutes. Returning would be by service 30 from Stop I a 15min walk to Town centre at 18.40 hrs., 20.10 hrs. & 22.05 hrs.

    2025 AUTUMN BEER FESTIVAL TASTING NOTES

    Hook Norton Pick Me Up 3.4% ABV

    Hook Norton Brewery, Oxfordshire. Est. 1849

    This deep chestnut mild has a floral aroma, leading to a light spice flavour with a moderate sweetness and balancing dark fruit notes.

    Hops: Bramling Cross, Fuggles


    Young Henrys Newtowner 3.5% ABV

    Young Henrys Brewery, New South Wales, Australia. Est. 2012

    This Australian light copper pale ale delivers citrus, passion fruit and stone fruit notes, balanced by a smooth, full-bodied malt backbone.

    Brewed by Richard Adamson at Elgood’s Brewery, Cambridgeshire.

    Hops: Cascade, Galaxy, Topaz, Vic Secret.


    Batemans Autumn Sun 3.9% ABV

    Batemans Brewery, Lincolnshire. Est. 1874

    This golden session ale has a malt and biscuit aroma, leading to crisp pine and citrus flavours, with hints of caramel, leading to a dry, refreshing finish.

    Hops: Centennial


    Adnams Cucumelon Sour 4.0% ABV

    Adnams Brewery, Suffolk. Est. 1872

    This light golden beer is brewed with cucumber combined with hints of melon to deliver a distinctive lightly tart flavour and a long, refreshing finish.

    Hops: HBC1019


    JW Lees Born to Brew 4.0% ABV

    JW Lees Brewery, Manchester. Est. 1828

    This copper ale has a toasty malt backbone, complemented by subtle rye spice, grapefruit and pine hop notes, resulting in a smooth, rich finish.

    Nethergate Harvest Stout 4.0% ABV

    This black beer has complex layers of roasted malt and balancing bitterness combined with its hop notes to deliver a rich, satisfying finish. Hops: Boadicea, Fuggles.


    Exmoor Dark 4.2% ABV Exmoor Drinks, Somerset. Est. 2025 This dark ruby beer has a spicy aroma and malty biscuit flavour, with hints of coffee, delivering a powerful, yet balanced, character and a long, fruity finish. Hops: Bramling Cross, Cascade, Fuggles, Goldings, WGV


    Salopian As One Door Closes 4.2% ABV

    This copper beer has a rich and bittersweet character, with ripe fruit flavours balanced by zesty hop notes to deliver a full, refreshing finish.

    Hops: Brewer’s Gold, Citra, Idaho 7, Simcoe.


    Effingut Golden Ale 4.3% ABV

    Effingut Breweries, Maharashtra, India. Est. 2014

    This light golden beer has a clean character with subtle spice and floral notes, balanced by a smooth caramel depth. It is infused with cardamom and coriander.

    Brewed by Manu Gulati at Hook Norton Brewery, Oxfordshire.

    This blond beer has lively citrus aromas, leading to a balanced blend of stone fruit and biscuit malt flavours, along with a pleasing, creamy finish.

    Evan Evans Storm Runner 4.4% ABV

    This new amber beer has a fresh hop and berry fruit aroma, leading to balanced malt and hop flavour and a dry, biscuit malt finish.

    Blue Coast Ambrée 4.8% ABV

    Blue Coast Brewing, Nice, France. Est. 2017

    This amber beer has citrusy notes and delicious hints of caramel, resulting in a harmony of malty complexity and fruity accents, with its hazelnut flavour providing a warming finish. Brewed by Paul Reilly at Batemans Brewery, Lincolnshire.

    Elgood’s Double Dog 6.5% ABV

    This strong black mild has aromas of liquorice and espresso, leading to a balance of subtle hop notes and dark malt flavours, along with a smooth, lingering finish.
