A hidden gem of a traditional pub tucked away in the picturesque village of Kingsbury Episcopi in Somerset.
Willow, from the Plough Inn in Taunton (2013 Cider Pub of the Year winner) says "I’ve got a lovely new ciderhouse, in south Somerset, The Wyndham arms, in Kingsbury Episcopi. TA12 6AT.
When I say new, new to me! Parts of the building are 17th Century. I’ve kept it a wetled village pub. As per The Plough Inn, 17 local real ciders on offer. And 3-4 ales from a stillage behind the bar. We also sell homemade pork pies, scotch eggs and scratchings. We have a cider day in which we invite all the local producers, give them a lunch and let them taste each others wares.
Mayday is huge here, if you were to pay us a visit, I would recommend May Day which this year falls on Monday 6th May 2024. Hoping to raise a flag and hopefully one day beat Pebbles Tavern in the much coverted Somerset Cider Pub of the Year award or at least be in the running!"
