At one of the last regional meetings, I raised the issue of the challenges facing cask beer specifically. Almost every person present, supported my concerns & this was minuted.

I have therefore been highlighting the issue via the national Real Ale, Cider & Perry Campaign committee at recent meetings and, as a result, a branch bulletin will be issued to all branches asking for their feedback and suggestions regarding this specific beer i.e. cask ale. How can we campaign better?

I would like to see as much branch input into this survey as possible – particularly, what new initiatives can we come up with to help cask increase its market share. This can take all forms and can be local initiatives, regional or national. There are already good initiatives happening around the Country such as the Norwich City of Ale, Burton Ale Trail and RochdALE as examples.
