Merriott Social Club was established in 1844 following a donation by Mr R H Hayward of Tail Mill, Sailcloth Textile Factory. This traditional club was built for the benefit of Merriott and all its parishioners. It is family friendly, open to both members and non members to take part in various recreational events and activities, ranging from Table Tennis, Bingo, Discos, Weddings, live music and much more.
