In the picturesque village of Appley on the Somerset/Devon border and just 10 minutes drive from the M5 motorway Junctions 26 or 27. By some distance the most attractive rural pub for many miles with three characterfull small rooms in the main building, a games room and an attractive garden. Grade II listed it grew from 17th century lime rendered cob cottages with slate roofs and later extensions. The Globe is in the CAMRA book of Historic Pub Interiors for the South West The bar is accessed via a central brick floored passage and has an open fire. Two guest ales are from local breweries and ciders from Taunton and a range of wines and crisp snacks.
