See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Situated in the picturesque village of Appley on the West Somerset/Devon border approximately 5.5 miles west of Wellington and within easy access of the M5 motorway via either Junction 26 or Junction 27. Grade II listed rural pub, originally 17th century rendered cob cottages with a slate roof and later extensions. Retains three characterful small rooms, one with a new bar opening, accessed by a central brick floored passage. The old central serving hatch is now hidden behind a blackboard. The two guest ales are from local breweries, such as Quantock, Exmoor, Cotleigh and Otter.
