The Red House is an old, substantial, stone built pub, located by the side of the A37, just south of Yeovil. The name ‘Red House’ is believed to derive from the name ‘Redlings’, the rich, arable land around the pub being reddish in colour. The menu changes with the seasons and is modern British, comfortably interwoven with some Mediterranean influences. A Sunday carvery roast is popular and now extended to Thursdays as well. Good value lunchtime menu for £5. Comfortable lounge seating as well as a good size dining room with raised area making perfect 'top of the table' wedding reception venue. Large field adjacent to car park for the kids to let off steam. Old but well-used skittle alley situated on the far side of the (steep) entrance drive. Meeting place for Yeovil Ukulele Circle.
