See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Situated close to the Railway Station and Somerset County Cricket ground. Village style free house is entered down a ginnel then through a heavy wooden door dividing into several split level sitting and eating areas. The narrow bar extends down one wall which serves mostly locally brewed cask ales and ciders straight from the barrels that are situated behind the bar. Open fire in the colder months. Has a good reputation for award winning pub pies served with mash potatoes and mushy peas. Somerset CAMRA cider pub of the year 2013. Occasionally cask ale may not be available due to loading stillage!
