A pleasant locals pub on a main road junction originally called the Royal Mail before becoming the Cricketers Arms and now Ale House. A central bar with five hand pumps usually serving at least three cask ales and one cider but could be upto five cask ales at peak trading times from a huge range of sixty in the SIBA local beer catalogue. 20p discount on cask ales and 10% off food orders for valid CAMRA card carrying members. A good range of reasonably priced and good quality food. A very popular pub especially when there are major televised sporting events and Friday's and Saturdays with live music.
