A pleasant local's pub on a main road junction originally called the Royal Mail before becoming the Cricketers Arms and now Ale House. A central bar with five hand pumps usually serving at least three cask ales at any one time from a huge range of sixty in the SIBA local beer catalogue. A good range of reasonably priced and good quality food. A very popular pub especially when there are major televised sporting events and Friday's and Saturdays with live music.
