Reopened after buy out and refurbishment by the Halse Community. Nestling between the Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park the New Inn is an 18th century former coaching inn situated in the quaint village of Halse, five miles from the Somerset county town of Taunton on the A358 at Bishops Lydeard and only 40 minutes walk from the famous West Somerset Railway. Annual beer festival held late May early June. Ales from Quantock, Exmoor and one from various local brewers are normally available.Facilities include B & B rooms, quiz, folk music, themed menu evenings.
