This 16th Century country Inn is situated at the foot of the Quantock Hills. Walkers & Mountain Bikers are always welcome. It is the starting or end point for many excellent walks and conveniently located on the Coleridge Way. There is a large welcoming open fire in the colder months and a pleasant garden in warmer times. The pub features many beams decorated with brasses. A new orangery has been opened as additional dining area and a take away menue is also available. Families are welcome. Reputably several ghosts - 6th most haunted venue in Somerst! Virginia Woolf and husband stayed two days during their honeymoon in 1912. The Plough has been voted best dog-friendly business of the year for the S W region and has as well as the usual water and treats, also supplies towls and blankets and a 'doggy menu' of both food and drinks - including 'bottom snffer' beer!!!
