Most of this pub is 400 years old and it used to house the village bakery and the courtroom of the Bishop of Wells. Old settles and a magnificent log fire can be found in the bar area which has a flagstone floor and a wealth of beams. The pub is a popular stopping off point for cyclists and walkers drawn by the four excellent ales and real ciders on offer. Check the events page on the website for details of live music and quizzes. There is no food offering other than snacks such as pork pies and scotch eggs. Pub only recently reopened with 4 cask ales on tap.
