See more about this pub on CAMRA's national web site

A former Wadworths pub situated five minutes from the A303, the Haymaker is a traditional country inn set in the foothills of the Isle Valley. It is ideally located between the two Somerset towns of Ilminster (five minutes) and Chard (five minutes). Muddy dogs and muddy boots are welcome in the bar and garden areas only. There are facilities to the rear that could be used as a one stop for motorhomes. Usually Otter Bitter plus two from the Bason Bridge brewery under the badge name of 'Hardings', all well kept cask ales on hand pump. There are four en-suite double letting rooms, all recently refurbished to a high standard with full English breakfast. Bar snacks are served lunchtime and a roast is available on Sundays. There is a full menu in the evenings.
